1. What we count as cookies
Besides classic cookies we use the local storage of the browser. The law treats both the same: anything that is not strictly necessary to provide the service needs your prior consent.
2. Strictly necessary storage
The session cookie that keeps you signed in and the token against request forgery are strictly necessary, are limited to this domain and need no consent, because without them the service does not work.
3. Preferences
We store the language you choose under the key 1up-lang and your decision about analytics under the key 1up-consent, together with the date you made it and the version of this text that was published then, both in the local storage of your browser. They never travel to our servers and they identify nobody.
4. Analytics
Google Analytics 4 measures in aggregate which pages are visited through the _ga and _ga_* cookies, which last two years at most. They load only if you accept: until you do, the browser never even requests the script, and if you withdraw your consent we delete them at that moment instead of waiting for them to expire.
5. Your consent
The notice appears on your first visit and accepting or rejecting costs the same single click, with two buttons of the same shape and size. Your answer is stored with its date and with the version of this text: if you reject we do not ask again and no measurement is activated until you change your mind from this page or until we publish a new version of the policy, at which point we ask again; if you accept, analytics loads at that moment.
6. Third parties
The typefaces are served from this same domain, so your IP address does not leave it in order to render them. The only third-party resource the public pages load is the Google Analytics 4 script, and only once you have accepted it (section 4). Payments are processed by Stripe, which uses its own anti-fraud cookies while you are on its form.
7. How to change your choice
